Born in 1974, Alyson has been acting for much of her life. She stared young in the commercials having re-occuring roles for a number of large US companies and multi-nationals before making her breakthrough in My Stepmother is an Alien which also featured her future Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Seth Green. Following this she guested in a number of well known TV series including Picket Fences and Roseanne before landing the role of the shy Willow Rosenberg in the hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Outside of this Alyson has had roles in the films Dead man on Campus and American Pie.
In "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," Alyson Hannigan plays a shy wallflower who becomes Buffy's friend and confidante. In real life, Hannigan is a veteran actress who has been performing since the age of four. During the series' hiatus, she filmed the Paramount/MTV Films feature "Dead Man on Campus," starring Tom Everett Scott.
She began her career in Atlanta doing commercials, working steadily in national spots for companies like McDonald's, Six Flags Amusement Parks and Oreo cookies. When Hannigan was 11, she moved to Los Angeles in hopes of breaking into film and television.
Her breakthrough role came when she was cast as Dan Aykroyd's misunderstood daughter in the feature film "My Stepmother Is an Alien." She went on to guest star on a number of popular television shows, including "Picket Fences," "Roseanne" and "Touched by an Angel." She was a recurring guest star on the series "Almost Home" and a series regular on "Free Sprit."
In her free time, the Washington, D.C. native and Dr. seuss fan likes to surf the web, practice kick-boxing and spend time with her dogs and cats. She currently resides in Los Angeles.

Seth Green was raised in Overbrook Park by his parents. Seth attended a public school and played soccer. Seth decided to make acting his career at age six after appearing in a summer camp performance.
Seth grew up acting with other stars such as Jodie Foster while on The Hotel New Hampshire at the young age of ten. Allen on Radio Days in which he played the lead at age 12 and Bette Midler in the movie Big Business at age 13. Following the above movies Seth continued working more films such as, Pump Up the Volume, White Man's Burden, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, The Party, Idle Hands and Stonebrook.
After working on many movies and gaining experience Seth Green then move to TV, appearing in shows such as Good and Evil, The Birds of Paradise, Temporarily Yours, Mad About You, The Carey Show, and The X-Files.
Seth has also appeared live in talk show such as The Letterman Show, Leno, Saturday Night Live and even Johnny Carson.
